Pakistan: Anger over unsanitary coronavirus quarantine centres

Videos reveal filthy facilities and conditions so bad that people are protesting against the government keeping them there.

Pakistan has closed one of its main border crossings with India and all exits to and from Afghanistan to contain the coronavirus outbreak.

But there is anger over unhygienic conditions in quarantine centres and a shortage of doctors in government facilities.

Hospitals do not have enough resources and there are fears Pakistan’s fragile health system is ill-equipped to deal with the coronavirus outbreak.
