Israeli elections: Illegal settlements high on election agendas

Palestinians say Israeli plans for settlement expansions have been advancing for decades.

Israel is preparing to hold its third election in a year on Monday.

The vote will be the first since the announcement of a US plan for the Middle East which has been roundly rejected by the Palestinians.

They say neither of the two main candidates has a Palestinian state on their agenda, and they are competing to take even more of their rights away.
