Libya conflict: At least 11 gov’t soldiers killed near Misrata

Nearly 100 were wounded on Sunday as they defended the small town of Abu Grein near Misrata, against Haftar’s forces.

Fighting has erupted again in the area near the strategic western city of Misrata, as renegade commander Khalifa Haftar’s forces advance towards it.

At least 11 government soldiers were killed and 100 others injured.

This shatters a fragile ceasefire agreed to earlier this month, undoing the work of world leaders who tried to broker talks between Libya’s rival governments.
