Justice still elusive a year after Brazil’s worst mining disaster

One year on, families of those killed in Brazil’s worst mining disaster still wait for justice.

A memorial has been held to mark one year since Brazil‘s worst industrial disaster, in which 270 people were killed when a dam collapsed, sending a tide of toxic waste into the city of Brumadinho.

Search and rescue volunteers are still looking for the bodies that were never recovered.

Al Jazeera’s Manuel Rapalo reports from Brumadinho, Brazil.
