South Africa: Many in Johannesburg are going hungry

The mayor of South Africa’s biggest city says nearly one million households do not have enough to eat.

Johannesburg has been locked down for more than six weeks, along with the rest of South Africa.

Many businesses remain closed, leaving families without work and unable to buy food.

This has caused a sharp increase in the number of people in dire need of food assistance.

Al Jazeera’s Fahmida Miller reports from Johannesburg, South Africa.
