Trump failed to pay heed to child poverty on his India visit

The US president did not meet any of the millions of Indians trying to survive on the streets nationwide – many of them children.

US President Donald Trump‘s trip to India a few days ago included a visit to the Taj Mahal in Uttar Pradesh state.

He was cheered by nearly 100,000 Indians at the world’s biggest cricket stadium in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home state Gujarat.

But he did not meet any of the millions of Indians trying to survive on the streets nationwide – many of them children.
