US calls for credible and transparent presidential elections in Afghanistan following the collapse of peace talks with the Taliban.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says the Afghanistan elections must be credible and transparent.
He made the comment just weeks after President Donald Trump collapsed peace talks with the Taliban and insisted the talks had finished.
Washington has had a military presence there for 18 years.
