Future of Afghanistan: Questions over peace talks with Taliban

Most believe that peace talks will eventually resume. The overriding factor however remains about how much the Taliban has changed and is it enough to ensure a lasting peace.

The recently collapsed peace process between the Taliban and the United States offered Afghans hope the group might be changing its policies.

But opinions are divided over how much the Taliban is willing to give way, and whether it is enough to ensure lasting peace in the war-torn country.
