Wrecked by decades of economic mismanagement and civil war Sudan has $52bn in foreign debt and high unemployment.

Five months after Sudan’s President Omar al-Bashir was removed, people are still finding it hard to make ends meet.

A transitional government is in place and the new Prime Minister Abdulla Hamdok is faced with the mammoth task of reviving an economy which has been spiralling for decades.
