Already facing a severe economic crisis, Venezuela is struggling to deal with higher than global average teen pregnancy rates.

Around the world, teenage pregnancy rates have been dropping for decades.

But in Latin America, it’s about 36 percent higher than the global average.

Venezuela, in particular, is struggling to deal with the problem.

The economic crisis has taken a toll on the public health system and has put reproductive healthcare out of reach for many Venezuelans.
