Bolivia: Men getting away with murder as femicide rate soars
Demands for justice grow in Bolivia after a sharp increase in the number of women murdered because of their gender.
Women in countries across Latin America say men are literally getting away with murder.
Cases of murdering women – what is known as femicide – are rising in many countries with men not being prosecuted for reasons including police inaction, legal loopholes and sexual discrimination.
New government figures in Bolivia show the femicide rate is at a six-year high.
