Tanker dispute: Captain of Iranian vessel arrested
The UK moved to maritime security level 3 after its government said the ship, BP oil tanker British Heritage, was approached by 3 Iranian vessels.
Police in Gibraltar have arrested the captain and chief officer of an Iranian tanker that was seized by British marines last week.
The new developments follow UK allegations that Iranian vessels tried to impede a British oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz, leading to an intervention by a British warship.
