New York parade: US women’s football team celebrate
One of the issues highlighted by the victorious women was the disparity in pay between male and female athletes.
There have been huge celebrations in New York City to honour the women” football World Cup victory.
Captain Megan Rapinoe led a ticker-tape parade and ceremony alongside New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, who gave the team the keys to the city.
