Italian archaeologists to study origin of Pakistan’s Ranikot Fort

If developed, the fort has the potential to attract tourism and help the poverty-stricken community.

With walls nearly 35 kilometres long, the historic Ranikot Fort in Pakistan is believed to be the world’s largest.

But its age and why it was built, are unclear.

Now archaeologists want to ensure the fort gets the recognition they say it deserves.
