Canada: Vigil held for missing and murdered indigenous women
Missing and murdered, the report on what has been described as a ‘Canadian genocide’.
After more than two years of inquiries, the Canadian government is set to receive a report on indigenous women and girls who either went missing or were murdered.
But a day before going public, the report was leaked. It reportedly calls the disappearance and murder of possibly thousands of women a “Canadian genocide”.
