Deportation threat: Uncertainty for US asylum seekers

Pregnant Guatemalan woman who feared deportation will be able to stay in the US to appeal her case.

US President Donald Trump is delaying raids meant to remove thousands of undocumented immigrants from the country, but Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials continue to arrest and deport those who show up at court for routine appearances.

In New York, a pregnant woman was about to be sent back to Guatemala Wednesday when a federal judge intervened and gave her more time to appeal her asylum case.
