Mali attacks: Villagers flee amid increasing violence

Militias connected to the Fulani and Dogon ethnic groups have attacked each others’ communities in recent months.

A week ago, scores of people were killed in central Mali during an ongoing conflict between farmers and herders.

It is the latest in a series of massacres that are part of an escalating conflict between the Dogon and Fulani communities.

Al Jazeera’s Malcolm Webb went to Mali’s Mopti region to speak to some who have fled the violence.
