Sudan in transition: Protesters call to dismantle army influence
On April 11, former President Omar al-Bashir lost the game of power to Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan.
For 30 years, former President Omar al-Bashir created sub-armies and militias to ensure his political survival.
But some of al-Bashir’s closest generals overthrew him and dismantled his entire power base earlier last month.
