Attacks flare in Syria, fears over chemical weapons use

US says pro-government forces may have carried out a chlorine gas attack on Sunday in northwest Syria.

In Syria, rebels have launched a counterattack against pro-government forces in the northwest.

Fighting has been intensifying in the region since last month.

Now, the US says it is concerned chemical weapons have been used by forces supporting the government of Bashar al-Assad.
