Why the ambitious Indian healthcare scheme is failing some of the poor.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s ambitious healthcare scheme – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) or Modicare, was designed to solve most of the medical problems for the poor.
But many say the system is experiencing a slow and challenging start for the 500 million people it is supposed to help.
