Venezuela’s Guaido ‘to seek US military support’ to topple Maduro

Venezuela’s opposition leader threatens to open talks with US military – as many of his political allies forced into hiding.

Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido has called for direct contact between his movement and the US military.

He made the appeal as opposition supporters gathered for another day of demonstrations against President Nicolas Maduro.

But turnout fell short of expectations.
