Yemen government says UAE sending separatist fighters to Socotra
Critics say it’s an attempt to undermine the local government and ultimately annex the Yemeni island, but the UAE denies the charge.
Yemen‘s UN-recognised government has accused the United Arab Emirates of sending separatist fighters to the island of Socotra.
The UAE, which is fighting with the government against Houthi rebels, has denied that it’s trying to seize Socotra.
