Champs Elysees renovation: French fall out of love with avenue

Parisians do not come to the avenue anymore because it is noisy, unpleasant and polluted.

There are plans to revitalise France’s most famous avenue, the Champs-Elysees.

Each year about 20 million people visit, but less than two percent of those are Parisians.

Local architects say it’s in desperate need of renovation ahead of the 2024 Olympics.
