Notre Dame fire: Russia, Japan and the Vatican offer help
Some of France’s richest people have pledged hundreds of millions of dollars to rebuild the cathedral.
More than 800 years of history, and it took less than 12 hours for much of it to go up in flames. After controlling the devastating fire at Notre Dame Cathedral, the focus now is the enormous task of rebuilding France‘s most enduring symbol.
Some of its treasures were saved from the flames, which brought down its iconic spire.
As the country’s richest people are pledging hundreds of millions of dollars to rebuild, Russia, Japan and the Vatican are also offering to help restore the World Heritage site.
