Syria rebels slow down battle against ISIL to protect civilians

SDF curbs offensive against ISIL’s last held areas, accusing group of using civilians as human shields in Baghouz.

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) say they are slowing down their offensive against the last area held by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL or ISIS) group, to protect civilians.

They accuse the fighters of using people as human shields in the eastern village of Baghouz.
