Italy: Bannon-backed ‘populists’ academy draws criticism
In Italy’s Collepardo, a former monastery is set to become a school for the next generations’ far-right populist politicians.
US President Donald Trump‘s former adviser Steve Bannon is helping set up an academy for the alt-right leaders in Italy.
Bannon has praised Italy’s populist government for its nationalist agenda, and is hoping more countries will follow its example.
But some residents aren’t happy their town will host the next generation of alt-right leaders.
Al Jazeera’s Sonia Gallego reports from Collepardo.
