Cyclone Idai: Death toll in Mozambique rises to more than 400

People have lost everything – their houses, food, clothes – and they’re given barely enough food for one day.

The number of people killed in Mozambique alone has risen to more than 400.

And the United Nations has warned of the risk of further flooding in the aftermath of Cyclone Idai.

The government says it needs foreign support as for the months to come, everyone will depend on it to survive.

Al Jazeera’s Malcolm Webb reports from Sussundenga district, where some of the villages were among the hardest hit.
