
Guinea-Bissau’s ruling party wins parliamentary elections
After years of political crisis, the party’s supporters hope the state’s ability to function will finally be restored.
The ruling party in Guinea-Bissau has begun celebrating after provisional election results indicated it had won the biggest share of the vote.
But the election commission says the PAIGC does not have an overall majority so it will have to look for coalition partners.
