Israel’s Labor party fights to stay alive as April polls loom

It hasn’t won an election since 1999, and Israeli politics have moved largely to the right since.

Israel’s opposition Labor party is choosing its candidates to stand in April’s parliamentary elections.

It was once a political force, governing the country for its first three decades.

But a credible challenger to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has emerged, threatening to undermine the party even more.
