Guinea-Bissau: Investigations into political killings stalled

Ten years after Guinea-Bissau’ parliament backs truth and reconciliation commission, government is yet to probe hundreds of political assassinations.

Preliminary election results are set to be released later on Wednesday in Ginea-Bissau, after polls which people hope will turn the page on years of crisis and turbulence.

An important factor moving forward will be a truth and reconciliation commission set up 10 years ago.

But it is yet to investigate a single murder.
