Chile protesters turn against president

Protests against the cost of train travel are gathering momentum as anger turns against Chile’s billionaire president, Sebastian Pinera.

There have been angry scenes in the capital, Santiago, in the past few hours as police fired tear gas and water cannon at demonstrators.

People are upset about low incomes, poor public health care and an increasing gap between the rich and the poor.
