The human cost of Turkey’s military action in Syria

The United Nations and aid agencies operating in Syria say thousands of people are fleeing the fighting as Turkey’s military campaign continues.

Turkey has intensified its offensive against Kurdish fighters in northeast Syria.

So far at least 15 civilians have been killed on both sides of the border.

The Turkish defence ministry says its forces have killed more than 200 YPG fighters since the operation began.
