Huawei executives reject US accusations of fraud and theft

China’s government says the Trump administration is envious of Huawei’s success and is trying to tarnish its reputation.

Concerned and disappointed – that’s China’s response to the US Department of Justice announcing criminal charges against telecoms giant Huawei and its chief financial officer.

Beijing is calling on Washington to stop what it described as “unreasonable suppression” of Chinese firms.

The charges filed on Monday include fraud, theft of trade secrets, and conspiracy.
