
Uncertainty and ‘Brexit paralysis’ fears in UK as deadline looms
Theresa May’s Brexit deal is coming to a vote before Parliament in the UK, but if it fails, the path forward becomes considerably less clear – and not just for Brexit.
The UK narrowly voted to leave the European Union in a referendum in June 2016.
At the time, it was presented as a relatively straightforward decision.
But events since then have proved it to be anything but, as a second referendum, a no-confidence vote and a general election are just the start of the potential Brexit effects in the near future.
