UAE, Bahrain send activists to jail for speaking up

The European Union has called for the release of a prominent rights activist in Bahrain whose prison sentence for speaking out against Saudi Arabia has been upheld by a Bahraini top court.

The development comes on a day a court in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) upheld a sentence against an activist there.
