Idlib demilitarised zone: Turkey and Russia agree on boundary

Situation in Idlib was discussed this week between Syria’s power brokers who support opposing sides but work together under the so-called Astana talks.

A new deal between Turkey and Russia has been reached, on a demilitarised zone in Idlib province.

Its dimensions will be different from one agreed upon in Sochi last year.

But it will once again depend on the cooperation of armed groups on the ground.
