General Motors: 5,000 workers strike work for second day
Strike called by United Automobile Workers Union brings more than 50 factories and warehouses to a standstill.
At the height of a great recession, General Motors was on the verge of collapse. So the union made a concession – the carmaker could hire more temporary workers.
Now, a decade later, GM is making billions in profits but these workers say it has gone on long enough.
