UK prime minister appoints Brexit supporters to cabinet

More than half of the top jobs in government are gone – many of them sacked – and replaced by prominent Vote Leave campaigners.

The United Kingdom‘s new Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s first move was a cull of more than half of his predecessor’s Theresa May’s cabinet.

To replace these ministers Johnson’s appointed loyalists and Brexit believers to top government positions.

It shows how central Brexit is to Johnson’s policies as Al Jazeera’s Nadim Baba reports from London.
