DRC president to send army to end communal violence

More than 400 people have been killed in the area over the last three weeks, in fighting between rival ethnic rebel groups.

The president of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Felix Tshisekedi, has vowed to send in the army to end communal violence in which hundreds of people have been killed.

Around half a million people have fled their homes to escape the mass killings.
