The Philippines’s problem with plastic that won’t go away

Filipino activists engage schoolchildren in the battle against single-use plastic that is choking the environment.

The Philippines is struggling to control the use of plastic packaging that only gets used once.

It is estimated more than 160 million bits of plastic waste wash up on river banks and coastlines every day.

Now activists have developed a constructive way to tackle the problem.
