Migrants flee to Niger as fighting worsens in Libya

Officials and aid workers in Niger are bracing for a possible influx of refugees fleeing the fighting in Libya.

The fighting in Libya between rival governments has made many Europe-bound refugees and migrants head for neighbouring Niger.

The country has long been a transit point for people in Sub-Saharan Africa

Dozens have begun to arrive in the northern region of Agadez, joining hundreds of migrants already stranded in Niger.
