Iranians protest US blacklisting of Revolutionary Guard Corps

Burning US flags, Iranians rallied after Friday prayers against the US’s decision to blacklist the country’s elite forces as a foreign ‘terrorist’ organisation.

Iran is officially protesting the decision of the United States to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a “terrorist group”.

In a letter to the United Nations, its Foreign Minister Javad Zarif has said the move could have dangerous consequences.

This, as supporters of the IRGC held a demonstration in Tehran condemning the US president.
