Malaysia: Ex-PM Najib Razak to face trial over corruption charges
Najib faces 42 charges linked to theft of $4.5bn from state investment fund after winning election last May.
Former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak is due to face trial on corruption charges on Wednesday after a delay of nearly two months.
The trial is the first of several criminal proceedings against Najib, who faces 42 charges.
They were brought after the new Malaysian administration reopened investigations into the alleged theft of $4.5bn from the state investment fund, 1MDB, shortly after winning election last May.
