North Carolina town suffers the brunt of Florence

New Bern’s mayor says 30 roads are unpassable and more than 1,000 people are still in shelters as the town faces continuous rains.

The town of New Bern in North Carolina was among the worst hit by Florence as the relentless heavy rain flooded homes and scattered debris across neighbourhoods.
