Iraq: Families of ISIL members fear attacks if they go home

The wives and children of ISIL fighters who have been killed or imprisoned are afraid their communities will attack them if they go home.

ISIL has been pushed back into small pockets in Iraq and Syria, a process that resulted in the death or imprisonment of tens of thousands of fighters.

Some of their wives and children are now unable to return to their hometowns for fear of reprisals.
