
Nicaragua unrest: Ruling party accused of land grabs
Private property owners in Nicaragua accuse the government of organising land invasions to punish adversaries.
Nicaragua’s largest private-sector organisation is accusing the ruling party of organizing land seizures all over the country; it says the government tactic is to pressure and punish suspected opponents.
There have been three months of anti-government unrest. Up to 450 people are dead and landowners appear to be the largest target.
