Is the Edinburgh Fringe Festival accessible to all?

While the festivals can prove a windfall for hotel and restaurant owners, many of the workers are low paid or unpaid and the city’s most destitute neighbourhoods do not see festival-goers at all.

The Edinburgh International and Fringe festivals are under way, bringing together thousands of performers from around the world.

But many locals do not see the economic benefits from the event.
