US tariffs: Trump’s policy hurting home industry

Until negotiations end the tariff dispute, many American manufacturers and farmers are focusing survival.

US companies are beginning to feel the sting of tit-for-tat tariffs.

They were imposed after the Trump administration shocked global markets, by introducing taxes on imported steel and aluminium.

The effects are particularly being felt in the American Midwest – and that’s not an accident.
