FBI agent Strzok grilled by Republicans in congressional hearing

Strzok was removed from Mueller’s inquest into Russian meddling in the US election because of anti-Trump text messages, although Strzok claims his views did not affect the investigation.

An FBI agent, whom US President Donald Trump is trying to discredit, has testified before two congressional committees.

Peter Strzok was subjected to hours of often hostile questioning from congressional Republicans who support the president.

Strzok was removed from the Mueller investigation when it surfaced that he had sent out anti-Trump text messages.
