Thai authorities crack down on illegal e-waste factories
Police have been cracking down on illegal operations and investigating imported electronic waste in a series of raids over the past month.
China imposed a ban on importing electronic waste, or e-waste, earlier this year.
That has led to worries about illegal dumping in other countries.
Recycling firms in Thailand are importing more waste than they are allowed, and processing them in illegal factories.
Al Jazeera’s Scott Heidler reports from Bangkok.
